Randy Jones Award for Excellence in Airport Noise Mitigation
This award recognizes an individual or organization that has made a significant contribution to the industry. Nominations for this award will be accepted through June 30 and presentation of the award will be in San Francisco at the 10th Annual AAAE Airport Noise Mitigation Symposium.

The late Randolph Jones, FAIA AICP was known in the airport noise mitigation industry as a leader and innovator. Those that had the opportunity to interact with Randy knew him as a gentleman and gifted professional who helped shape the noise mitigation industry that exists today.
Mr. Jones was a founding principal and former President of The Jones Payne Group, Inc. An architect, urban designer and certified planner, was Principal-in-Charge of Jones Payne’s RSIP programs in the Eastern, Mid-Atlantic and Southern FAA regions. He brought over 30 years of experience in transportation facilities planning and design, downtown revitalization programs, community development programs, housing, environmental assessments, noise mitigation programs, historic preservation, adaptive use projects, and smart growth initiatives.

Mr. Jones had a Master of City Planning degree and a Master of Architecture degree, from the University of Pennsylvania. A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and a Certified Planner, he was NCARB certified and licensed to practice architecture in 21 states.  The Randy Jones Award for Excellence in Airport Noise Mitigation annually recognizes an individual or organization that has made a significant contribution to the industry.
